Chewy M&M Cookie Bars

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (browned)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups mini M&M’s
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9x11-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together browned butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, whisk until smooth.
- Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a thick cookie dough forms. Mix in chocolate chips and mini M&M's.
- Scoop the dough into the prepared pan, spread evenly. Bake for 24 minutes until the top crumbles slightly. Press extra M&M's on top.
Notes
For added texture, try mixing in some chopped nuts or shredded coconut with the M&M's and chocolate chips.
