How to Serve Angel Food Cake

Slice the cake with a serrated knife and serve as is or with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or other toppings. The light and airy texture pairs well with a variety of flavors.

How to Store Angel Food Cake

Store the cake at room temperature in an airtight container for 3-4 days. To maintain its fluffiness, avoid refrigerating the cake as it can cause it to dry out.

Tips to Make Angel Food Cake

  • Ensure egg whites are at room temperature for better volume when whipped.

  • Sift the flour mixture multiple times to ensure a light and fluffy texture.

  • Be gentle when folding in the flour to avoid deflating the batter.

Variation

For a twist on the classic recipe, try adding lemon or almond extract for a different flavor profile. You can also top the cake with a citrus glaze or fresh berries for a pop of color.
