Ingredients

For the dough

  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, mashed Ensure they are overly ripe for maximum sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Adjust according to taste preference.
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk For glaze.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For glaze.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the mashed bananas with softened butter.
  • Add brown sugar, cinnamon, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a dough forms.
  • Roll the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread cinnamon filling over the top.
  • Roll the dough tightly and cut into individual rolls.
  • Place the rolls in the greased pan and let them rise for 20 minutes.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls before serving.

Notes

These rolls are best served warm. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra touch. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
