Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water Around 110°F (43°C)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Topping

  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  • Add warm water and olive oil; mix until dough forms.
  • Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  • Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Cooking

  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out the dough and place it on a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Spread pizza sauce over the dough.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and add oregano and basil.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from oven, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

For a crispier crust, try pre-baking the dough for about 5 minutes before adding sauce and toppings. Use a pizza stone for the best heat distribution. Don’t overload on sauce or cheese to prevent a soggy pizza. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for two months.
