1cupshredded sharp cheddar cheeseFreshly shredded melts and blends better than pre-shredded.

Put softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar in a mixing bowl. Add smoked paprika, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
Beat with a hand mixer or stir vigorously with a spoon until fully combined and spreadable. Scrape the bowl sides once or twice.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to firm up.
