Ingredients
  

Brownie Base

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 5 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Topping

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 20 cherries, pitted & sliced
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips, melted

Instructions
 

Brownie Base

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line a square baking pan.
  • Melt the butter and dark chocolate together. Let it cool slightly.
  • Whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 20-25 minutes. Let it cool completely.

Topping

  • In a large bowl, beat the whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over the cooled brownies.
  • Top with sliced cherries. Drizzle melted chocolate over the cherries.
  • Cut into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For an extra indulgent version, add a layer of chocolate ganache on top of the whipped cream.
