Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated

Chicken and Sauce

  • 1 lb chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • Green onions for garnish green onions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  • Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or dish, pour marinade over, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Cooking

  • Preheat your Blackstone griddle over medium-high heat.
  • Remove chicken from marinade and grill for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • In the meantime, take the leftover marinade, bring it to a boil in a small pot, and whisk in cornstarch mixed with water to thicken.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, drizzle the thickened sauce over the chicken and garnish with green onions.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the chicken overnight. Adjust the sweetness by reducing the brown sugar if desired. Ensure griddle is preheated for attractive grill marks.
