Ingredients

Blueberry Grilled Cheese Sandwich

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Hellmann’s® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 ounces sliced Gruyere cheese

Instructions

  • Cook the fresh blueberries and sugar in a saucepan until slightly thickened. Set aside to cool.
  • Place Gruyere cheese on two slices of sourdough bread. Spoon blueberry compote over the cheese and top with the remaining bread slices.
  • Generously spread Hellmann’s or Best Foods Real Mayonnaise on the outer sides of the sandwiches.
  • Cook sandwiches in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown and cheese melts.
  • Slice the sandwiches diagonally and relish the flavors of melted cheese and warm blueberry filling.
