  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets Steam until tender
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use sharp cheddar for more flavor
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk Use whole milk for creaminess
  • 1 cup Ritz crackers, crushed Add on top for crunch
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped Saute for sweetness if desired
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season according to preference
  • 2 tablespoons butter Dot on top before baking

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large pot, steam the broccoli until tender.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, cheddar cheese, and chopped onion. Stir until well blended.
  • Add the steamed broccoli and season with salt and pepper, mixing gently to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the crushed Ritz crackers on top and dot with butter.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until heated through and the topping is golden brown.
  • Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

This casserole can be stored for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator or frozen for 2-3 months. Customize with different vegetables or proteins as desired.
