  • 4 ounces prosciutto chopped
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup red bell peppers diced small
  • 1/2 cup yellow bell peppers diced small
  • 1/4 cup green onions sliced, white and green parts separated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 1 can petite diced tomatoes 14.5-ounce can
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 1/2 pounds large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped

How to Make Cajun Shrimp with Tomato Cream Sauce

  • In a skillet, cook the prosciutto until crispy. Set aside.
  • Cook garlic, onion, and peppers in butter until softened. Set aside.
  • Cook shrimp with Cajun seasoning until opaque. Set aside.
  • Deglaze the skillet with white wine and diced tomatoes.
  • Add back pepper mixture, bring to a boil, then simmer.
  • Stir in heavy cream, simmer until thickened.
  • Add shrimp back to the skillet, top with prosciutto, green onions, and parsley.
