Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can cinnamon rolls (regular size, with icing if you like extra glaze)
  • 2 cups diced apples (about 2 medium apples; firm varieties like Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Fuji work well) Choose firm apples that hold shape when baked.
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or warmed jarred caramel) Optionally, swap for dulce de leche for deeper flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch or similar-size baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  • Spread the diced apples evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish.
  • Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and arrange the pieces over the apples in a single layer.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the top of the cinnamon roll pieces and apples. Rotate the dish to help the caramel drizzle into crevices if needed.

Baking

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly for 5–10 minutes so the caramel sets a little. Serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. You can also add a dusting of powdered sugar and a side of Greek yogurt for a light breakfast option. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days.
