Ingredients
Main Ingredients
1cancinnamon rolls (regular size, with icing if you like extra glaze)
2cupsdiced apples (about 2 medium apples; firm varieties like Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Fuji work well)Choose firm apples that hold shape when baked.
1/2cupcaramel sauce (store-bought or warmed jarred caramel)Optionally, swap for dulce de leche for deeper flavor.
Instructions
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch or similar-size baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
Spread the diced apples evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish.
Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and arrange the pieces over the apples in a single layer.
Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the top of the cinnamon roll pieces and apples. Rotate the dish to help the caramel drizzle into crevices if needed.
Baking
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly for 5–10 minutes so the caramel sets a little. Serve warm.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. You can also add a dusting of powdered sugar and a side of Greek yogurt for a light breakfast option. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days.
