Ingredients
For the pastry

puff pastry, thawed
Ensure the puff pastry is fully thawed

egg (for egg wash)

For the filling

diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

Instructions
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to smooth it out.
Cut the pastry into squares or rectangles.
In a bowl, mix the diced apples with brown sugar and granulated sugar.
Place a spoonful of the apple mixture onto the center of each pastry piece.
Fold the pastry over to seal, using the egg wash to help the edges stick.
Brush the top of each pastry with the egg wash and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Baking
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar. Can be complemented with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Best enjoyed fresh.
