Bars
- 1 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce thick
Preheat the oven to 350F (180C) degrees and line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper.
Whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, and oats to form a dough.
Press half of the dough into the pan and bake for 15-20 minutes.
Add chocolate chips on top, then pour caramel sauce over the bars.
Use the remaining dough to form a layer over the caramel.
Bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden, then cool completely before slicing.
