Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), dried herbs, and a pinch of sea salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Using a spoon or small scoop, portion out the cheese mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each scoop.
  • Gently flatten each portion with the back of a spatula to form round disks.

Baking

  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, keeping an eye on them as baking times can vary.
  • They should be golden brown and bubbling when done.

Cooling and Storage

  • Once baked, remove the crisps from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container to maintain their crispness.
