Dry Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

melted butter

shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
Use freshly grated cheese for better melting quality.

Can substitute with other fresh herbs.
Oil or butter for cooking

Instructions
Preparation
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed (don't overmix!).
Gently fold in the shredded cheese and chopped chives.
Cooking
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil or butter.
Pour batter onto the skillet, cooking until bubbles form on the surface.
Flip and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Serving
Serve warm with your favorite toppings, like sour cream, bacon, or eggs.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm on a skillet or in the microwave.
