  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sautéed mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice each chicken breast horizontally to create a pocket.
  • Stuff each chicken breast with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and shredded mozzarella. Secure with toothpicks.
  • Season chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown.
  • Transfer chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until cooked through.

Serving

  • Serve warm and enjoy with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh green salad.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken breasts in your favorite marinade before stuffing. Ensure mushrooms are well-drained to prevent sogginess. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
