Ingredients
For the crust
1/2cupcornmeal
2 1/4cupsbread flour (divided)
2 1/4teaspoonsActive Dry Yeastabout a 0.25 oz package
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
1teaspoongarlic powder
1/2teaspoontable salt
1/4teaspoonpepper
1cupwarm waterEnsure water is warm but not hot to activate yeast

Instructions
Preparation
Sprinkle cornmeal in a thin layer in two 12-inch pizza pans. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 425°F.
In a stand mixer bowl, add 1 cup bread flour, yeast, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix well.
Add warm water to the flour mixture. Using a paddle attachment, blend on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes.
Switch to the dough hook attachment. Gradually stir in enough remaining bread flour to make a firm dough. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Punch down the dough. Divide it into 2 equal parts. With well-floured or greased fingers, press each half into prepared pans.
Top with desired toppings.
Baking
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the edges are crisp and golden brown and the cheeses are melted.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftover Cheesy Pizza Crust in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic wrap/aluminum foil for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to a month.
