  • 4 cups chopped cabbage Fresh cabbage recommended for best texture.
  • 1 medium onion, sliced Any variety of onion can be used.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use gluten-free soy sauce if needed.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil For cooking and added flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish Chopped green onions for serving.

  • In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Stir in the chopped cabbage and soy sauce, and cook until the cabbage is tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, garnished with green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for up to three months. When reheating, add a splash of water to revive moisture.
