Instructions
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Baking
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For softer cookies, do not overbake. Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness. You can add nuts or oats for extra texture.
