Ingredients

For the crust

  • 1.5 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted

For the filling

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Melt before drizzling.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie pan to form the crust.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the peanut butter mixture.
  • Pour the peanut butter layer into the crust and smooth it out.
  • Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle them over the peanut butter layer. Use a knife or skewer to create a swirl design.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Serving

  • Serve this pie cold for the best flavor experience. Optionally garnishing each slice with whipped cream, chopped peanuts, or drizzles of extra melted chocolate.

Storing

  • If you have leftovers, store the pie in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap or in an airtight container. It will last for up to a week.

Notes

For a twist, consider using crunchy peanut butter for added texture or substituting chocolate chips with white chocolate. The pie can also be wrapped tightly and frozen for up to 2 months.
