Ingredients

For the clusters

  • 2.5 cups pecans Toasted for best flavor
  • 0.5 cup salted butter Can substitute with unsalted butter and add a pinch of salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar For the caramel flavor
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use dark chocolate chips for a richer taste if desired
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream Adds creaminess to the chocolate mixture

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until fragrant.

Cooking

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until combined.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream and chocolate chips until smooth.
  • Add the toasted pecans to the mixture and stir until well coated.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment paper and let them cool until set.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Refrigeration may alter texture slightly. Great for gifting or as a dessert topping.
