Ingredients

Cake Layers

  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup Cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 0.2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Hot water

Raspberry Filling

  • Raspberries

Chocolate Frosting

  • Unsalted butter
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Cocoa powder
  • Powdered sugar
  • Heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  • Prepare the ganache by melting chocolate chips with hot cream.
  • Level the cake layers and place the first layer on a serving plate.
  • Pipe a frosting dam, add chocolate ganache, and spread raspberry filling on top.
  • Repeat with the second cake layer.
  • Add the final cake layer and frost the cake with chocolate frosting.
  • Drizzle chocolate ganache around the edges and decorate with raspberries and sprinkles.
