Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 medium ripe bananas Firm, yellow with minimal spotting
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray (optional) For easier cleanup

Instructions

Preparation

  • Peel the bananas and slice them into uniform thin rounds—aim for about 1/8 inch thick for even cooking.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 330°F (165°C) and consider lightly spraying the basket with cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the coconut sugar (or brown sugar) with the ground cinnamon and set aside.
  • Place the banana slices in a mixing bowl and toss them with the cinnamon-sugar mixture until lightly coated.

Cooking

  • Lay the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  • Air fry the slices for 10–14 minutes, flipping them halfway through. They should be golden brown and crisp.
  • Let the chips cool on a wire rack for 5–10 minutes, allowing them to become crispier.

Notes

Store banana chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Consume within a few days for best texture. Optionally, refrigerate to extend freshness.
