Instructions
Prepare the Mashed Potatoes
Cook the potatoes in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender.
Drain the potatoes and return to the pot with butter, then mash until smooth. Set aside.
Cook the Shrimp
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add the shrimp, seasoning with paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cook the shrimp until it turns pink, about 3-4 minutes.
Remove the shrimp and set aside.
Make the Garlic Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and fresh thyme, and season with salt and pepper.
Return the shrimp to the skillet and combine well.
Serve the Dish
Serve the shrimp over the mashed potatoes and drizzle with extra sauce.
