  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add diced onion. Sauté until translucent.
  • Add turkey sausage to the skillet and cook until browned.
  • Stir in the frozen pierogi and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  • Let it simmer for about 10 minutes until heated through and slightly thickened.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra kick of flavor, consider adding minced garlic or Italian herbs while sautéing the onions. If you prefer a thicker sauce, let it simmer a little longer, or add a cornstarch slurry to thicken it up. Feel free to swap the turkey sausage with chicken or pork sausage based on your preference.
