  • 500 g fresh Paris mushrooms
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 60 g flour
  • 100 g breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese (optional) Can be omitted for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying or oven cooking Ensure oil is hot before frying.

Preparation

  • Clean the mushrooms thoroughly and dry them with a paper towel.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
  • In another bowl, mix together the flour with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Set up a third bowl with the breadcrumbs (and grated Parmesan if desired).

Cooking

  • Dip each mushroom in the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the mushrooms until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot!

Notes

Serve these mushrooms warm with dipping sauces like marinara, aioli, or spicy mayo. If storing, let them cool completely and store in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for the best texture.
