Ingredients

Chicken and Coating

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour for coating
  • 2 large eggs as a binder
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for warmth and color

Hot Honey Sauce

  • 1/2 cup honey sweet base
  • 1-2 tablespoons hot sauce adjust based on heat preference
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar adds tanginess

Topping

  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese to sprinkle on top

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  • Set up a breading station with three bowls: flour in the first, whisked eggs in the second, and panko mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third.
  • Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip it in eggs, then coat it with the panko mixture.

Baking

  • Arrange the breaded chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Hot Honey Sauce

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, combine honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until well combined and warmed, then set aside.

Serving

  • Once the chicken is baked, drizzle hot honey sauce over each breast and sprinkle with crumbled feta before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the chicken is dry before breading. Adjust the hot sauce quantity according to your heat preference.
