  • 1/2 cup walnuts Chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon honey Can substitute with maple syrup for a healthier option
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

Preparation

  • Chop the apples into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large bowl, mix the apples and chopped walnuts.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, honey, cinnamon, salt, and olive oil to make the dressing.
  • Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
  • Serve immediately or chill for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added crunch, sprinkle some extra walnuts on top just before serving. If the salad starts to get soggy, consider adding fresh apples right before serving to revive its texture.
