  • 1 can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced Opt for fresh strawberries.

Cake Mix Layer

  • 1 box yellow cake mix Can be substituted with gluten-free cake mix.
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Ensure even distribution over the cake mix.

Toppings

  • 1 cup whipped cream For serving.

Instructions

Preparation and Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a greased baking dish, layer the sliced bananas, pineapple chunks, and strawberries.
  • Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the fruit layer.
  • Pour the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring it’s distributed evenly.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  • Allow the cake to cool slightly before topping it with whipped cream and fresh fruit.
  • If desired, drizzle with chocolate before serving warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. To reheat, warm in the microwave. Experiment with different fruits like blueberries or peaches for variety.
