  • 5 cups all-purpose flour

  • 4 tablespoons garlic powder For a garlicky twist, add minced fresh garlic to the butter.

Topping

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Sprinkle on top before serving.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • Mix in melted butter, then gradually add flour and salt, kneading until a soft dough forms.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour.

Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Roll the dough into sticks and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  • Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, brush with more butter, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Serve warm with marinara sauce, garlic butter, or your favorite pasta dishes. For storage, keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven.
