  • 1 ½ cups 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided For topping.
  • 1 cup 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

Preparing the Dough

  • In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

Mixing the Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, Italian seasoning, minced garlic, and kosher salt. Gradually add the flour and the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

Kneading the Dough

  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes or until smooth.

First Rise

  • Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Assembly

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Once risen, press the dough onto a greased baking sheet to form a rectangle.

Topping the Bread

  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, fresh parsley, and kosher salt. Brush this mixture evenly over the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheeses on top.

Final Rise

  • Let the assembled dough rest for another 20 minutes while the oven heats.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and cheesy.

Serving

  • Allow the bread to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
