Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the chopped cooked chicken and shredded cheddar.
Add the refrigerated French onion dip and the can of cream of chicken soup. Stir until the mixture is evenly combined and creamy.
Spread the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish in an even layer.
Sprinkle the can of French fried onions evenly over the top.
Bake uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes, until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the onions on top are golden.
Remove from the oven and let rest 5 minutes before serving so the casserole settles and slices hold together.
