1poundbrioche, challah, French bread, or white breadpreferably a day old

1cupheavy cream
2cupsmilk
1/3cuplight brown sugar
2teaspoonsground cinnamon
1/2teaspoonkosher salt
1tablespoonvanilla extract
Topping
1/4cuplight brown sugarpacked
1/4cupgranulated sugar
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1/4teaspoonground nutmeg
2tablespoonscold butter, cut into pieces
Instructions
Lightly grease a 9x13" baking dish. Cut the bread into 1-inch chunks and place in the dish.
Whisk together eggs, cream, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla. Pour over the bread cubes. Toss to coat. Refrigerate overnight.
Mix brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter until crumbly. Refrigerate.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Sprinkle topping over the French toast and bake for 45-50 minutes.
Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving. Top with syrup, berries, or whipped cream.
