  • 1 large egg, beaten Used for coating.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs For coating the sandwich.
  • Oil for frying Enough for frying in a pan.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture on one slice of bread and layer with sliced strawberries. Top with another slice of bread to form a sandwich.
  • Dip the sandwich in the beaten egg, then coat it with breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the sandwich until golden brown on both sides.
  • Remove from oil and let excess oil drain on paper towels.

Notes

Best served warm. They can be enjoyed as is or with a sprinkle of additional powdered sugar. Pair with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for an indulgent treat. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days, but the texture may soften.
