Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.

For the Sandwiches

  • 2 slices bread Consider using brioche or French bread for a twist.
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying Use your preferred oil.
  • Powdered sugar For dusting before serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Spread the mixture on one slice of bread and top with sliced strawberries.
  • Place the other slice of bread on top to make a sandwich.

Coating

  • Dip the sandwich in flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a frying pan, and fry the sandwich until golden brown on both sides.
  • Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
