Instructions
Making the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, brown sugar, salt, and ground ginger.
In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, eggs, softened butter, molasses, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 1 hour.
Making the Filling
Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger evenly.
Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log shape.
Cut the log into 12 equal rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.
Making the Frosting
In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, butter, molasses, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Gradually add powdered sugar until the frosting reaches your desired consistency.
