Ingredients

For the Chicken Marinade

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium cucumber, diced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

  • Pita bread

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add the sliced chicken breast and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking the Chicken

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated chicken until it is fully cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.

Preparing the Tzatziki

  • In a separate bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, diced cucumber, dill, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

Serving

  • Serve the marinated chicken in warm pita bread, topped generously with the tzatziki sauce.

Notes

Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Store the tzatziki sauce separately to retain its freshness.
