  • 1.5 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 cup butterscotch sauce
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in butterscotch sauce, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fill the cupcake liners 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  • Let cool completely before frosting.

Frosting Preparation

  • To prepare the frosting, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form and frost the cooled cupcakes.
  • Drizzle additional butterscotch sauce on top if desired.
