  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, add beef slices, and cook until browned. Set aside.
  • Cook onion and garlic in the same skillet until softened. Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
  • Return beef to the skillet, add beef broth and Dijon mustard. Simmer, then stir in sour cream until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Enjoy the Homemade Beef Stroganoff over cooked noodles, potatoes, or rice. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a richer sauce, you can add a touch of Worcestershire sauce or a splash of cognac.
