Instructions
Make the Special Sauce
In a medium mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, French dressing, sweet relish, minced onion, white vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir until well blended to create the special sauce. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the Beef
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until fully browned. Drain excess fat and set the beef aside.
Assemble the Wraps
Warm the flour tortillas gently in a separate clean skillet over low heat or in the microwave for about 20 seconds until pliable.
Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Start by spreading a generous layer of the prepared special sauce over each tortilla.
Add a layer of shredded lettuce and diced onions on top of the sauce.
Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef over the center of each tortilla. Top with slices of cheddar cheese.
Finish by adding pickle slices on top.
Carefully fold the sides of the tortilla inwards, and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top, securing the filling inside. Repeat for the remaining tortillas.
Serve
Serve immediately, sliced in half if desired, with any additional sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
These wraps can be served warm or at room temperature. They are ideal for gatherings where handheld foods are a hit.
