Ingredients

Cracker Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional) Optional for flavor enhancement.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice) Feel free to try different cheeses.
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • as needed ice water Ice water as needed Used to bring the dough together if too dry.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and paprika.
  • Add the shredded cheese and softened butter to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
  • If the dough is too dry, add ice water a tablespoon at a time until it comes together.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Cut the dough into squares or desired shapes.
  • Place the crackers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  • Let cool before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for up to three months with parchment paper between layers.
