Instructions
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise to create two long pieces.
Hollow out the inside of each half of the bread, leaving about a 1/2-inch thick shell. Save the removed bread for another purpose or discard.
Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, chopped bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well combined.
Carefully fill the hollowed-out bread halves with the prepared pizza filling. Pack the mixture in well for an even distribution.
Baking
Brush the top of each stuffed bread half with olive oil.
Place the stuffed bread halves on a baking sheet, keeping them side by side.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread turns golden brown.
Remove the stuffed bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Once cooled, slice the bread into individual pieces, and serve warm.
Notes
Enjoy with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes or in the microwave.
