Instructions
Preparation
Combine yeast, water, honey, and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer.
Stir in flour and mix until the dough cleans the sides of the bowl (1-2 minutes).
The dough should be smooth and not sticky. Adjust flour as needed if dough is too sticky.
Start preheating the oven to 425 degrees F.
Shaping and Baking
Pull off pieces of dough and shape them into pretzel shapes.
Place shaped pretzels on lined or greased cookie sheets.
Mix the egg with a bit of water and brush all over the dough shapes, then sprinkle with salt.
Bake for 13-15 minutes until golden brown.
Cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with your favorite dips. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days or freeze for longer storage.
