  • 1 lb salmon fillet, cut into bite-sized pieces skin removed or left on, as you prefer
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil for higher smoke point
  • 1/4 cup hot honey store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
  • In a medium bowl, toss the salmon pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the salmon pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Cooking

  • Air fry for 8–10 minutes, checking at 8 minutes for flaky, opaque centers.
  • While the salmon cooks, whisk together hot honey and lemon juice to make the glaze.

Finishing and Serving

  • Drizzle the hot honey glaze over the cooked salmon and gently toss to coat.
  • Serve immediately, sprinkled with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a gluten-free or paleo version, the recipe is already compliant. Adjust the hot honey according to taste for kids or mild preferences.
