Preparation
In a bowl, mix the coffee, whiskey, and half of the sugar.
In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
In a saucepan, combine the egg yolks, remaining sugar, and the coffee-whiskey mixture. Cook over low heat until slightly thickened.
Dissolve gelatin in cold water and add to the mixture, stirring until smooth.
Fold the whipped cream gently into the mixture.
Pour the filling into the pie crust.
