Glaze Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually stir in flour and salt until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake for 22-25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.

Glazing

  • For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a bowl until smooth.
  • Spread the glaze evenly over the cooled brownies and chill for about 15 minutes before slicing.
