Salad Base

  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced Consider marinating in lime juice for softer flavor.

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) You can opt for a dairy-free cheese if needed.

Preparing the Salad

  • In a large bowl, combine chopped romaine, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and any other desired toppings.
  • Top the salad with the seasoned beef, shredded cheese, diced avocado, sour cream, and salsa.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

This salad can be served in a family-style platter or in individual bowls. Pair it with guacamole or a fresh corn salad. Adding lime wedges enhances the flavor profile. For storage, keep the taco salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
