  • 4 breasts chicken breasts Choose high-quality chicken for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter option, substitute with chicken broth or half-and-half.
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese Can substitute with feta or goat cheese for variation.
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped Roasted red peppers can be used as a substitute.
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped Opt for fresh herbs to enhance flavors.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For searing the chicken.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to preference.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
  • Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil. Stir until combined and sauce is heated through.
  • Place the chicken back in the skillet with the sauce.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  • Serve hot with sauce drizzled over the top.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight to reheat.
