Million Dollar Chicken Spaghetti

Ingredients

Pasta and Chicken

  • 16 ounces spaghetti noodles 1 package
  • 2.5 cups shredded chicken Use leftover cooked chicken, rotisserie chicken, etc.

Dairy Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese Softened
  • 3 cups grated mozzarella cheese Divided
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1.5 cups half and half

Spices

  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper

Garnish

  • to taste Fresh parsley Optional for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly oil your baking dish.
  • Cook the spaghetti in boiling water for about 10 minutes or until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 2 cups of mozzarella, parmesan cheese, shredded chicken, half & half, and spices. Mix until everything is well combined.

Layering and Baking

  • Pour half of the cooked spaghetti into the prepared baking dish and top it with half of the cheesy sauce mixture.
  • Add another layer of spaghetti followed by the remaining sauce mixture on top.
  • Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top of the final layer.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and place it in the oven. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, remove the foil and place the dish under the broiler for 2-4 minutes, until it is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze before baking. Thaw overnight in the fridge when ready to enjoy. Experiment with vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition.
