Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 32 Oreo cookies cream-filled cookies
  • 1/4 cup salted butter melted

Cheesecake Filling

  • 16 oz cream cheese softened (2 packages, 8oz each)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 tub whipped topping thawed (8oz tub)

Preparation and Assembly

  • Blend the Oreo cookies in a food processor until well crushed.
  • Mix melted butter with the crushed cookies to form a wet sand consistency.
  • Press the cookie mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan and place in the freezer to set.
  • Beat cream cheese, sugar, and cocoa powder until light and fluffy.
  • Add sour cream and cherry pie filling and gently fold in.
  • Fold in the whipped topping and spread the filling over the prepared crust.
  • Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours to set.
  • Decorate with additional whipped topping, cherry pie filling, and chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of cherry liqueur to the filling.
